One chart that sums it all up

This chart (courtesy of the Illusion of Prosperity blog) is one of the most frightening charts I've seen in a long time, and it says quite a bit about what's happened to our economy over the last 50 or so years. The ratio of net worth to debt in our nation is absolutely plummeting, and has been for decades. If you ever wonder why things are the way they are, just call up this chart and remind yourself.
